FBI MANHUNT FOR CROSS-DRESSING BANK BANDIt INTENSIFIES Robert D. Grant, Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the individual depicted in the attached wanted flier, who is believed to be responsible for the armed robbery of the MB Financial Bank branch located at 1014 Busse Highway in Park Ridge, Illinois on August 13, 2008 . According to witnesses, at 6:50 p.m. a man entered the bank wearing a black and pink dress, a pink woman’s wide-brimmed sun hat, long white cloth gloves, and white sandals. He was carrying an oversized black purse and a handgun as he loudly announced the robbery and demanded money from the vault. At the direction of the robber, an employee placed cash into a plastic shopping bag. Upon receipt of the money, the robber herded two bank employees and one customer into a bathroom and used plastic zip-ties to restrain their hands behind their backs. Witnesses report that the robber’s demeanor was calm and methodical during the entire ordeal. He left the building in an unknown direction. The bank robber is described as a black male, approximately 25 years old, 5’10’’ tall, and 150 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was disguised in woman’s clothing as described above. The robber should be regarded as armed and dangerous. Anyone recognizing this individual or having information about this robbery is asked to call the Chicago FBI at (312) 421-6700 .
