FBI MANHUNT INTENSIFIES FOR RAPIST-BURGLAR

Robert D. Grant, Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating ALDO ALBA, age 35, who is believed to be responsible for the aggravated criminal sexual assault of a 69-year old woman. ALBA, whose last known address is 3440 W. 64 th Place in Chicago, is depicted in the attached wanted flyer.

According to the Federal criminal complaint, a 69-year old woman was raped and robbed during a burglary of her residence on the southwest side of Chicago on April 3, 2006. The subsequent investigation by the Chicago Police Department (CPD) identified ALBA, a neighbor, as the likely offender. Following the burglary/sexual assault, ALBA allegedly stole the victim’s car which was later recovered.

On November 29, 2006, a local arrest warrant was issued for ALBA, charging him with Felony Aggravated Sexual Assault. A Federal arrest warrant was subsequently issued on July 30, 2007 for Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution for the same criminal activity.

The manhunt for ALBA has led investigators from Chicago to Pamona, California where it appears ALBA hid immediately following the assault until August 2006. Further investigation has pointed to Dallas as a possible location of ALBA, who still maintains significant ties to Chicago. Since becoming a fugitive, ALBA has been known to frequent homeless shelters for meals and temporary housing support.

ALBA is described as a 35-year old Hispanic male, 5’8” tall, 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has a distinctive tattoo reading “Enrique” in Old English lettering on the inside of his right forearm. ALBA has been known to use the aliases ALDO ACED and ALBA ALDO.

Due to the nature of the charged offense, ALBA is regarded as ARMED AND DANGEROUS. Anyone having information about ALBA’s whereabouts is asked to call the Chicago FBI at (312) 421-6700.
