$20,000 REWARD OFFERED IN SEARCH FOR MURDER SUSPECT

Robert D. Grant, Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced today that a reward of up to $20,000 is being offered for information that leads to the location and arrest of ADOLFO SANCHEZ, age 34, whose last known address was in Wheeling, Illinois.

SANCHEZ has been the subject of an international manhunt since July of 2001, after being charged with the murder of Jennifer Wiedemann, his former fiancé. Wiedemann had been working as a nanny for Sanchez' brother and was found shot to death in the basement of her employer's residence. Subsequent investigation by the Wheeling Police Department linked SANCHEZ to the crime, but he was able to flee the state before being arrested.

SANCHEZ is described as a Hispanic/male, 34 years of age, 5' 8" tall, 130 pounds, thin build, black hair, brown eyes, with several tattoos on his lower and upper arms.

SANCHEZ has family members in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, as well as Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Elkhart, Indiana; Dallas, Texas and Guanajuato, Mexico.

SANCHEZ should be considered Armed and Dangerous. He is wanted for a crime of violence in which his alleged victim was shot numerous times. Anyone recognizing the individual depicted in the attached photographs or with information about SANCHEZ current whereabouts is asked to call the Chicago FBI at (312) 421-6700.

EDITOR's NOTE: Additional copies of the attached wanted poster are available from the Chicago FBI Press Office at (312) 829-1199.
