$5,000 REWARD OFFERED IN
SEARCH FOR CHICAGO GANG LEADER

Robert D. Grant, Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago Office of   the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced today that a reward of up to  $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the location and arrest of  FINNIE HAWKINS, age 31, whose last known address was 6204 South Vernon   Avenue in Chicago.

HAWKINS has been the subject of a nationwide manhunt since he   was charged in May of 2004, along with 46 other known and suspected gang   members, with conspiracy to possess and distribute controlled substances.   HAWKINS was one of three defendants of this investigation, which targeted the   Black Disciples Street Gang, who avoided arrest at the time the charges were filed.

HAWKINS is described as a black/male, 31 years of age, 6' 0" tall,   180 pounds, black hair, brown eyes, with a slight beard and mustache.

HAWKINS has an extensive criminal record for crimes of violence.   He is also alleged to be a high ranking member of the Black P Stone Nation, one   of Chicago's largest and most violent street gangs. As such, HAWKINS should be   considered Armed and Dangerous.  Anyone with information about HAWKINS is  asked to call the Chicago FBI at (312) 421-6700.

HAWKINS was recently profiled on "Chicago's  Most Wanted",   which airs locally on WFLD-TV during their Saturday evening newscast.

EDITOR's NOTE: Additional copies of the attached wanted   poster are available from the Chicago FBI Press Office, either by fax or e- mail, at (312) 829-1199.
